Live METAR and TAF text come from aviationweather.gov; CAPE is a model value from Open-Meteo. The raw report is always shown in full so you can verify the source.

CAPE is a model value (NOAA GFS, blended with the high-resolution HRRR model over the United States) from Open-Meteo; its data is licensed CC BY 4.0, with attribution shown beneath the badge and in the footer.

Facility identity & elevation

Facility identity and elevation are resolved two ways. Major airports and weather-reporting stations (e.g. KLUK) are looked up directly from aviationweather.gov. Smaller and private facilities (e.g. 8OH9) are resolved from a stored copy of the FAA facility database, refreshed on a 28-day cycle matching the FAA's NASR publication schedule. Per-lookup limit

A single lookup is limited to 50 facilities. Each identifier can trigger several separate requests upstream, so the cap keeps any one query from placing an unreasonable load on aviationweather.gov. If you enter more than 50, only the first 50 are processed — so if a facility you expected is missing from the results, check whether your list ran past the limit.
